Stoviink Creatives is a Black-owned arts organization based in Chicago, IL dedicated to creating inspiring art that gives voice to the African-American experience. We curate art that is not only aesthetically pleasing, but also deeply meaningful and thought-provoking.We strive to serve as a platform for talented African-American artists to showcase their work, while engaging in meaningful conversations surrounding their art. We are committed to creating a safe and inclusive space for all, and are proud to be a part of the Chicago art community.
Our Story
Storie Devereaux and Tovi Khali met as fellow musicians in 2012 in Chicago's Englewood community. Stoviink Creatives was established at the top of the pandemic March, 2020. It became important to find creative ways to regulate our mental health and balance between self care and everyday life. We found that we could inspire wellness by items people use everyday by developing unique and versatile ways these items could be used.
We More importantly, we wanted to create with intentionality.
